Dementia Friendly Hampshire provides a much loved and valued service for the community, working to ensure Hampshire is a place where people can live well with dementia
We are a small charity which supports the work of Dementia Friendly Communities, businesses and organisations within the county.
We help create opportunities for people affected by dementia to continue to live ‘a life more ordinary’, enabling them to enjoy being part of our communities; participating in their preferred activities where possible and trying new ones where it is not. We work with Hampshire Cricket providing Memory Days where people living with dementia are supported to watch matches at the Ageas Bowl. We work with other partners to provide accessible sports sessions, walking, dancing and gardening. Please challenge us to provide accessible sessions for your favourite hobby!
We work to increase awareness of dementia to reduce stigma and to improve the way those affected are treated.
