About Us:

Many older people living in Havant face a life of isolation and loneliness. It is not unusual for people to have little or no contact with the world beyond their own home which often leads to ill health and debilitating mental conditions like depression.

MHA Havant Live at Home provides a much loved and valued service for older people in the community. We provide opportunities for companionship and friendship by providing weekly activities and social groups where people can meet and chat around a shared activity, from simple coffee mornings to such groups as New Age Kurling, Craft, Singing for Fun and Steady and Strong Exercise to improve balance, stability and confidence.

We need your support to ensure we can continue to provide the valued social and activity groups and take older people on outings using an adapted minibus. Many of them cannot use public transport and don't go out unless we take them. Your money pays for transport, hall hire, instructor fees, refreshments, activity materials and training for our valued volunteers. It will also help us create new groups and activities to help older people in Havant live happier, healthier and more fulfilled lives.
